Allison Winter Paul
MHSc., SLP Reg. CASLPO
Speech-Language Pathologist & Feeding Therapist

Allison is a warm and knowledgeable Speech-Language Pathologist and Feeding Therapist with a strong foundation in early childhood development. She began her career as an Early Childhood Educator before earning her Master of Health Science in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Toronto.
Allison has a special interest in supporting young children across a variety of areas including speech sounds (articulation), early communication and language development, social communication, and motor speech skills. She is passionate about helping children find their voice, connect with others, and build the foundational skills they need for confident communication at home, in school, and in the community.
Allison also brings extensive experience in paediatric feeding and swallowing. She has supported both children and adults in hospital and private practice settings, and her passion for this area of practice deepened after becoming a parent herself in 2024. Her firsthand experience with infant feeding reinforced her commitment to helping families navigate mealtimes with confidence and connection.
In her feeding work, Allison takes a holistic, individualized approach. She looks at chewing and swallowing skills, sensory responses, developmental readiness, mealtime routines, and family goals to support safe, positive, and enjoyable eating experiences. Whether helping a baby start solids or supporting a child with complex feeding needs, she partners closely with families to build skills in a supportive and low-pressure way.
Her areas of clinical interest and expertise include: Speech sound delays and articulation challenges, early language development and first words, motor speech difficulties (e.g., Childhood Apraxia of Speech), social communication and play-based interaction, starting solids and transitioning to table foods, picky eating and food refusal, feeding and swallowing disorders (including medically-based concerns), avoidant/Restrictive Food Intake Disorder (ARFID), texture aversions and oral motor challenges, parent coaching and support around mealtime routines and feeding milestones
Allison values collaborative care and ongoing learning, and she is committed to supporting each child and family with empathy, creativity, and evidence-based strategies.
