Helena is a compassionate and enthusiastic Speech Language Pathology Assistant who recently completed her Master of Health Science in Speech-Language Pathology at the University of Toronto.

Her diverse clinical experience includes supporting pediatric and adult populations in preschool, private practice, and rehabilitation settings through in-person and virtual services, with a focus on working with autistic children and individuals with diverse communication needs. Her clinical experiences and training have allowed her to develop skills in providing intervention in the areas of early communication and language development, articulation, motor speech, literacy, social communication, Gestalt Language Processing (GLP), and Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC).

Helena is dedicated to delivering holistic, neurodiversity-affirming, and client-centered care through collaborative, evidence-based approaches. She takes joy in getting to know her clients and their families, working closely with them to build trusting relationships and create a positive therapeutic environment where clients feel safe and heard. She is especially passionate about creatively incorporating each child’s unique strengths and interests into enjoyable, play-based therapy sessions where children are engaged and motivated to connect while having fun.

She strives to include caregiver involvement and parent training in every speech and language session, recognizing this as a vital component of the therapeutic process and its outcomes. Her goal is to empower families with the knowledge and tools to support their child’s growing communication skills and form meaningful connections.

Helena is also committed to pursuing professional development opportunities to better support her clients' evolving needs.
